PURPOSE:To improve efficiency by constituting a snubber circuit of the series circuit of a diode and a capacitor and giving energy stored in the capacitor to a power supply section through a rectifier. CONSTITUTION:A snubber circuit is composed of the series circuit of a diode D1 and a capacitor C1, and energy stored in the capacitor C1 is given to a power supply section 10 for a drive circuit 5 through a rectifier D2. The power supply section 10 is organized provided with a resistor R2 connected on the output side of the rectifier D2, a voltage regulation diode ZD connected in series with the resistor R2 and a capacitor C2 connected in parallel with the voltage regulation diode ZD. Power is fed to a signal amplifying section 9 from a node among the resistor R2, the voltage regulation diode ZD and the capacitor C2. A control signal outputted from a control circuit 6 is inputted to the signal amplifier 9 through a photocoupler PC, and the signal amplifier 9 drives and controls a semiconductor switching element 2.
