PURPOSE:To output a control signal from a data transmission equipment to other data transmission equipment to a DTE depending on data transmission equipment internal information or a data transmission equipment without adding an output terminal by providing a multiplex circuit multiplexing a data signal from a recovery circuit and other data signal. CONSTITUTION:A data signal 3 outputted from the recovery circuit 2 and other data signal 7 synchronizing with a timing signal 4 are inputted and both the signals 3, 7 are multiplexed and outputted to other computer, a terminal equipment (DTE) or a data transmission equipment as a serial data signal 8 by using a multiplex circuit 6. Thus, other data strings B1, B2... than data strings A1, A2... recovered from the line signal are multiplexed and the result is synthesized as the data signal 8 where the polarity converting point is coincident with the leading/trailing of the timing signal 4. The DTE or the data transmission equipment receiving the data signal 8 as above receives the other data signals B1, B2... than the conventional data signals A1, A2... and no special connection terminal is required.
