A combined high-voltage current transformer and voltage converter of the top-assembly type, in the case of which the active parts of the current transformer are arranged on an insulating column and the active parts of the voltage converter are arranged above the active parts of the current transformer, and an outlet tube for the secondary outlet cables is provided within the insulating column is intended to be designed such that this combined converter can be produced and assembled cost-effectively. In addition, the capability is intended to be provided of being able to combine different types of current transformers and voltage converters with one another in a simple manner. This is achieved in that the head (4) of this combined converter consists of a closure plate (8), which is fitted on the insulating column (2), and of a cap (24) which is placed on said closure plate (8) and engages over the current transformer and voltage converter (16, 18; 200). Internally, the cap (24) has fastening lugs (201) to which the voltage converter (200) is fastened. The voltage converter (200) has a plug device (202) at the bottom, to which plug device (202) its secondary outlet cables are connected. A mating plug device element (204) is arranged in the upper part of the current transformer (16, 18). The plug device parts (202, 204) are plugged together automatically when the cap (24) is fitted (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
