In the case of a device (1) for fixing cables (2), especially coaxial cables, on tubular stubs (15) on cable sleeves (21), a type of fastening is intended to be created which makes the provision of shrink sleeves superfluous, by means of which economical connection capabilities can be provided particularly in the event of coaxial cables being used, with optimum moisture proofing and the capability for strain relief. This is achieved in that the device (1) consists of a sealing element which is formed as an annular body (3), the sealing element being equipped with an outer seal (8) for resting against the inner surface of the tubular stub (15) and with an inner seal (13), which is physically separated therefrom, for resting against regions of the inserted cable (2). <IMAGE>
