This flowmeter comprises a straight tube 12 mounted on supports or fixed rigidly in a rigid envelope 14. The tube is fitted with at least one excitation device 16 and with two vibration sensors 26 situated symmetrically with respect to the excitation device. The tube 12 of the envelope 14 is associated with means intended to bring the frequencies closer to the fundamental mode and to the second vibrational mode. Application to measuring the mass flowrates of fluids and in particular of corrosive fluids. <IMAGE>
