PURPOSE:To perform smooth engagement even in times of being large in tooth flank load and gearing errors, by making the modified quantity of a tip larger than an error made by gearing motion. CONSTITUTION:An unground gear carrying a tooth profile 11 prior to grinding is made up so as to cause its dedendum hf and addendum ha to become more than 1.2 module and the whole depth being obtainable as the sum of these hf and ha plus a clearance Ck to become more than 2.6 module, while a modification start point C, in illustration showing a state of engagement between a gear A and a gear B, is obtainable as a circle G making an F point a radius on a normal E (a common tangential line of base circles C and D) erected at an engaging point in a tooth surface and an intersection point with the tooth surface in case of the gear A. And, the F point is as well obtainable by adding the length of more than 0.2 times over a normal pitch to the outside of the worst load point H at the end of one side of a paired engagement range. As for modified quantity, at its tip (a), the largest modified quantity from a regular involute gear profole 13 is made up so as to come more than 1/100 module and furthermore, the clearance Ck is made to be larger and machined so as not to cause a gap S to become negative. |
