PURPOSE:To reduce a space for arrangement, by placing two pieces of optical heads by placing two pieces of disks between them, and also, placing one piece of magnet between two pieces of disks, and placing one piece of electromagnet against two pieces of disks. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of optical heads 13, 14 for focusing a light beam to recording mediums 11, 12 are placed in opposed positions by placing two pieces of recording mediums between them, respectively. Also, between two pieces of recording mediums 11, 12, one piece of magnet 15 is placed so as to be opposed to the optical heads 13, 14, and formed so that one piece of electromagnet is enough against two pieces of disks. Accordingly, the number of constituting parts of a magneto-optical head can be decreased, and also, when plural sets of magneto-optical heads are provided, the number of electromagnets can be decreased to half of that of a conventional device, and the arrangement space can be reduced. |
