PURPOSE:To make it possible to precisely detect the temperature of hot water within a boiler body and to supply hot water of a stable temperature by providing an insertion port of a temperature detector on the side wall of the boiler body, fitting the fitting base part of a temperature detector into this insertion port of the temperature detector in a watertight manner and disposing a heat sensitive part of the temperature detector within a heat exchange coil within the boiler body. CONSTITUTION:A protective cylinder 14 of a temperature detector 12 is inserted into a water chamber 2 through an insertion port 19, and a tip end 14A of the protective cylinder 14 is disposed on the inner side of a heat exchange coil 9 of the water chamber 2. At the time of operating a burner 3, since the temperature detector 12 detects the temperature of a rising water flow generated on the inner side of the heat exchange coil 9 of the water chamber 2, the rise in the hot water temperature can be precisely obtained by a heat sensitive element 15 and the response to the temperature detection can be improved. For this reason, it is possible to suppress the rise in the temperature by additional heating to a low value. Furthermore, overshooting accompanying the starting and stopping the burner 3 can be reduced, variation in the temperature of hot water in the water chamber 2 can be reduced, and further the supply of hot water at a stable temperature can be performed.
