PURPOSE:To produce a stainless Ni plated material having superior workability and fine surface luster and maintaining low contact resistance over a long period, by forming this mat Ni plating of a specified thickness on stainless steel having surface luster. CONSTITUTION:Thin mat Ni plating of 0.01-0.5mum thickness is formed on stainless steel having surface luster to obtain a stainless Ni plated material having fine surface luster, high workability and low contact resistance at a low cost. The plated material is suitable for use as a material for the case of a galvanic cell.
