PURPOSE:To simplify the management of a buffer by storing an information frame not required for reception to other memory while the header information part only is separated so as to avoid the waste of memory. CONSTITUTION:An information frame on a transmission line 1 is fetched in a communication equipment via a transmitter-receiver 2 and inputted to an address discriminator 3, a FIFO buffer 4 and a header memory 5. The address discriminator 3 checks a destination address written in the header part of the information frame to discriminate whether or not the frame is to be received and opens a gate 6 only when the frame is to be received. Moreover, the information frame is inputted from the transmitter-receiver 2 to the header memory 5 and only the header part of all information frames is written in an address designated by a buffer management device 9. A memory 7, the header memory 5 and the buffer management devices 8, 9 are accessed from a CPU 10 via an internal bus 11.
