A ceramic burner screen for flameless combustion of gaseous fuels is characterized in that the perforations have a smooth surface and that the porosity of the ceramics material is less than 60% by volume. A ceramic material having 53 to 65% SiO 2 , 25 to 45% Al 2 O 3 and 2 to 10% MgO is said to be suitable. |
