PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture by forming a connecting port at the position corresponding to a coolant suction inlet on the side wall of a compressor casing and inserting a suction pipe or a connecting pipe into the connecting port and welding the contact part formed on the connecting pipe with the connecting port. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of a rotary type compressor having a compression element 2 which is formed by rotatably accommodating a rotor in the coolant compression chamber of a cylinder 3 having a coolant suction inlet 31, a connecting port 11 is drilled at the position corresponding to the suction inlet 31 on the side wall of a sealed casing 1, and a cylinder body 12 is formed by bulging out the periphery of a lower hole outwardly through the burring work. While, a contact part 9 opposed to the bulged out top edge of the cylinder body 12 is formed on a connecting pipe 8. After an assembly of the compression element 2 and a motor for driving said element 2 is accommodated into the sealed casing 1, the connecting pipe 8 is inserted into the suction inlet 31 from the cylinder body 12. Then, the joint part 9 is fixed on the bulged out top edge surface of the cylinder body 12 through projection welding. |
