PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts by forming a winding shaft to be cylindrical in a seat belt winding device having an elongated hole where the end portion of the seat belt is held, which is formed on the side surface of the winding shaft. CONSTITUTION:A main spiral spring 12 is disposed between a case 11 and an auxiliary ratchet 13, and an auxiliary spiral spring 14 is disposed between the auxiliary ratchet 13 and a winding shaft member 15. A winding shaft 153 of the winding shaft member 15 is formed cylindrical by hot forging, and an elongated hole 155 is formed on the side surface of the winding shaft 153. The long diameter of the elongated hole 155 is aligned with the longitudinal direction of the winding shaft 153, and the end edge portion of a seat belt B is pierced through the elongated hole 155 and fixed there. Thus, it is not necessary to externally fit a cylinder for winding the seat belt so as to reduce the number of parts of a seat belt winding device. |
