<p>PURPOSE:To contrive not to damage a cable line at the time of welding, by fitting a protective member which can be divided into an upper section and a lower section fitting recovering strings at the end sections, on a cable line, and by moving the protective member to a section welded to a pipe unit for the welding. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical protective member main-unit 1 is formed so that it may be divided into a lower protective member 1a and an upper protective member 1b. To the end sections of the main unit 1, strings 4 are bound so that the main unit 1 may be moved in a pipe 3, and the lower protective member 1a is provided with a travelling section 2 for moving. Before the pipes 3 for penetrating cable 5 through are butt-welded to each other, first the upper and lower protective members 1a, 1b are fitted on the cables 5, and the strings 4 are stretched, and the protective member 1 is moved to a welded section. The cables 5 are protected in this state, and at the same time welding work is executed, and finally, the strings 4 are stretched, and the protective member 1 is recovered.</p> |
