<p>This invention relates to a kind of novel spun fiber which is produced by forming first a prototype disc or press roller die having a pattern of groups of fine circular diffraction gratings which are formed by photoetching and arranged, pressing it onto a base material (1) of a thermally softened polyester film, applying a metallic reflecting film (2) to the base material to deposit a protective layer and then cutting it into spun fibers. The group of fine circular diffraction gratings of the spun fiber of this invention serve as small reflecting mirrors, and jewel-like colorful metallic luster appears on each diffraction when exposed to loght. When the spun fiber or spun product moves even slightly, the colors of each circular diffraction grating changes instantaneously and provide an appearance as if a group of stars twinkled.</p> |
