PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a high critical temperature property and a good critical current density by containing mixture of powdery matters in a coating tube woven of copper wires coated with a layer of Ni plating on the surface and applying a degressive work to the whole body including the coating tube. CONSTITUTION:Y2O3 powders, BaCO3 powders, and CuO powders, for example, which include elements possible to compose oxide compound superconductive matter, are mixed. Next these mixed powders are contained in a coating tube 1 woven of copper wires 3 coated with a layer of Ni planting 2, where a degressive work is applied linearly to the whole including the coating tube. Then, the linear matter formed in this process is heat-processed in an atmosphere of oxygen gas, so compound superconductive wire is produced. In this method, meshes of the coating tube 1 are not completely closed even after the degressive work is applied. It is therefore possible that a sufficient quantity of oxygen is supplied to the base material of superconductive matter in a subsequent process, thereby superconductive characteristics can be improved. |
