PURPOSE:To prevent the error of a whole memory by correction impossible data and to improve the reliability of a whole system by comparing the first information with the second and after information among the pieces of information to indicate a point where the failure of a main memory is generated. CONSTITUTION:A main memory 1 automatic-corrects one bit error according to code correcting information and an address. By a reset command after the first error automatic correction is executed, these data are stored to a core correcting information register 2 and a correcting address register 3. The second and after error information is compared the code and the address with the contents of the registers 2 and 3 respectively by a code correcting information comparator 4 and an address comparator 5, and when either of them is mismatched, it generates a request signal from an FF7 to an interrupting control part 8 by the output of an OR circuit 6. Thus, it is previewed that the probability of a correction impossible error generation in the device 1 is high. |
