<p>PURPOSE:To easily mass-produce a color filter with desired shape and size and to reduce the cost by forming a coloring material dispersion type photosensitive layer on a transparent substrate, then exposing at specific positions through holes of a light shield member, and repeating a process for development. CONSTITUTION:The transparent substrate 1 such as a glass substrate is coated with the coloring material dispersion type photosensitive layer of a specific color and the specific positions of the coloring material dispersion type photosensitive layer 2 are exposed through the through holes 8 of the light shield member (shadow mask) 3 and developed to form a monochromatic filter. Then the monochromatic color filter is coated with a coloring material dispersion type photosensitive layer of a 2nd specific color and specific positions different from a 1st color are exposed and developed through the through holes of the shadow mask 3 to form a bicolor filter. The same process is repeated for 3rd, 4th... specific colors. Consequently, the large-sized color filter is mass-produced at low cost.</p> |
