METHOD FOR PROCESSING SILVER HALIDE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To prevent the fluctuation of the photographic performance of the subject material by developing the silver halide photosensitive material with a color developer contg. prescribed amounts of a chlorine and a bromine ions respectively, and the material contains a dispersion emulsified a mixture which dissolves an oil soluble nondiffusion cyan coupler and a water soluble and an org. solvent soluble polymer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material has a silver chloride content of >=80mol% and contains a hydrophobic polymer dispersed the cyan coupler therein. The photosensitive material is developed with the color developer contg. the chlorine ion of 3.5X10<-2> - 1.5X10<-1>mol/l and the bromine ion of 3.0X10<-5> - 1.0X10<-3>mol/l. Thus, the generation of the stripe pressure fogging of the material caused by processing it in an automatic developing device and the fluctuation of the photographic characteristic of the material at the time of continuously processing it without deteriorating the max. optical density of the material are prevented.
