PURPOSE:To perform the limited number of times of rewrite of data by writing the data by destroying a layer at every layer by laminating two kinds of thin film layers with different optical reflectivity. CONSTITUTION:The data 1 and 0 are recorded by destroying the layer 13a or 13b sequentially of the thin film layer 13 in which the thin film layers 13a and 13b with different optical reflectivity are laminated alternately by a laser beam with high intensity from the laser beam irradiating device 3 of an optical head whose position control is performed by a head moving device 2. The recording is performed by reflecting reflected light corresponding to the data based on the weak photoirradiation from the device 3 on a prism 5, and receiving it via a light receiving lens 7, and analyzing and reading out received output at a reflection analyzer 8 by a CPU 1. When all of the layers 13a and 13b are destroyed and an invalid bit B is formed, similar sector recording is performed by the next similar block, and the limited number of times of rewrite of the data decided corresponding to the number of laminated layers and that of blocks can be performed. |
