PURPOSE:To obtain an immersion member for a molten metallic bath for hot dipping having superior resistance to hot corrosion and thermal shock by molten Al or Zn by forming a ceramic coating consisting of specified weight percentages of ZrO2 and Al2O3 on a steel material. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic coating consisting of, by weight, 20-60% ZrO2 and the balance Al2O3 or 20-60% ZrO2, TiO2 and/or Y2O3 and the balance Al2O3 is formed on a steel material. In said composition, TiO2 satisfies TiO2/Al2 O3<=0.15, and Y2O3 satisfies Y2O3/ZrO2<=0.25. |
