<p>The blind slats (12) have front and rear surfaces, and front and rear long edges pliable at least laterally towards the long edges. A laterally displaceable control moves to cause them to bend between an inactive position in which their effect on the headlight light beam is minimal, and an activate position in which they deflect the light beam. The control consists of a lower control rod and an upper rod (13B) on which the blind slats are threaded alternately with distance pieces (14B). The lower rod is arranged to be moved over a longer distance than the upper rod. The blind slats in the active position are deformed to a shape where their rear surfaces form a downwardly turned, warped concave-cylindrical surface, so that the light beam is less divergent, and is deflected downwardly and laterally. @(Provisional basic advised week 91/17)@ @(10pp Dwg.No.1/4)@.</p> |
