发明名称 PRODUCTION OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent flickering, seizure of a display and the deterioration of a liquid crystal by providing a nonlinear resistance element consisting of an anodized film/metallic film/anodized film on one substrate of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:The pattern of a Ta film 2 is provided on the insulating substrate 1 and is anodized to form a Ta2O5 film 11. This film is coated with a Ta thin film 12 and is anodized by which the film is converted to a Ta2O5 film 13. The pattern of a Ta film 4 is formed to intersect with the pattern of the Ta film 2 on the T2O5 film 13 and an MIM element 14 in constituted on the superposed part. Picture element electrodes 6 consisting of ITO are provided and are connected one to one to the Ta film 4 of the MIM element. The current-voltage characteristic of the nonlinear MIM element consisting of the metallic film 2/insulating film 13/metallic film 4 driving the picture elements is made into symmetrical state with positive and negative with respect to zero voltage; therefore, the flickering and the display seizure are eliminated and the net DC biasing of the liquid crystal is obviated. The generation of the irreversible electronic chemical deterioration of the liquid crystal is obviated.</p>
