Air spring axle for road-rail vehicle - incorporates members supporting air-spring bellows

The air spring axle is for a vehicle suitable for road or rail. It has an axle body (4) secured to the leading console (2) by a connecting arm (3) with an air spring bellows (7) between the rearward end of the arm and the vehicle frame (1). The air spring bellows is supported from the console by a guide arm (9) and two additional auxiliary spring bellows (11) are arranged between the guide arm and the vehicle frame. USE/ADVANTAGE - Suspension system for a trailer for a combined road-rail vehicle giving a greater stroke than that obtainable with a normal air spring bellows.
