PURPOSE:To perform a relief printing on a cylindrical surface of a cable with rotating fins by a method wherein the position of a printing roll device can be changed on the basis of the rotating displacement of a pair of guide rollers transmitting rotation in the peripheral direction of an electric cable coating layer. CONSTITUTION:An electric cable with fins 1' extruded from an extruder is pulled out leftward and depressed by guide rollers 8, 8' of a detection board 3. The rotating board 3 is rotated in accordance with the position of a fin 3a' of the cable 1'. This position is detected by an angle detector 16. A motor 20 is controlled by the angle detector 16, and the position of a rotating board 18 of a printer is controlled in the peripheral direction. Therefore, a printing roll 4 can be rotated from a position shown by a full line to a position shown by a broken line along with the rotation of the fin 3a' of the fin-rotation type electric cable 1'. Then, a relief character is transferred onto a cylindrical surface 3b' of the electric cable 1'. with a suitable pressure by a spring 22. |
