A magnetic head (1) which reads/writes data magnetically from/on a magnetic recording medium is provided with a writing head (2) dedicated to writing of data and two reading heads (3a, 3b) dedicated to reading of data. Since the reading heads (3a, 3b) are provided on both sides of the writing head (2) in the direction of a data track (11) of the magnetic recording medium and two magnetic shielding plates are provided between the writing head (2) and the respective reading heads (3a, 3b) respectively, the processing of data comprising: 1) reading of data, 2) writing of data and 3) verifying of data can be performed in two steps, and the processing speed can be improved. Also, the processing of the data recorded in magnetic bar codes which comprises: 1) erasing of data, 2) verifying of data, 3) writing of data and 4) verifying of data can be performed in two steps too, and the processing speed thereof is also improved. |
