摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting coil which can be wound with a high degree of workability and made smaller and lighter by burrying a reinforcing band into a superconductor in a superconducting coil in which superconductors and reinforcing bands are stacked and wound. CONSTITUTION:In a superconducting coil, reinforcing band is burried in a superconductor. A groove through which a refrigerant flows is formed in a superconducting conductor. A superconducting coil is formed by winding a superconductor 1 in which a groove 6a housing a reinforcing band 2 and a groove 6b through which a refrigerant flows are provided. When a coil is formed by winding the superconductor 1, the reinforcing band 2 is wound while an electrical insulator 3 is provided in the groove 6a. Similar effects are obtained not only with a groove for a refrigerant whose cross section is rectangular but also with a groove whose cross section is semicircular. Since the reinforcing band is burried in a superconductor, the superconducting coil is made smaller and workability becomes higher. In addition, since the groove through which a refrigerant flows is provided in a superconductor, cooling efficiency is improved.
