The detector detects snapping of power line and signal line and comming out of connector to protect peripheral equipments. The detector comprises a power checking circuit (1) including a condensor (C1) and diodes (D1,D2) for processing GAP of encoder pulse, and a photocoupler for isolating the power stage and a detection stage, and a snapping detecting circuit (2) including exclusive OR gates (G2,G3,G4), a diode (D3) and a zeuor diode (D4) for blocking high signal transmitted from A,B and Z phase of input power.
