PROCESS FOR MAKING FINE POWDER OF BARIUM FERRITE

The method comprises (1) making a Ba-Fe aqueous solution by dissolving a barium chloride and a iron chloride, which is composed of Fe (II) of more than 0.1 mole/l, the ratio of barium to Fe (II) being 1:10 - 1:11, in water under nitrogen atmosphere; (2) preparing a sodium hydroxide solution by dissolving the sodium hydroxide as precipitating agent having 2.0-4.0 equivalent ratio (R) in water; (3) coprecipitating by adding the Ba-Fe aqueous solution into the sodium hydroxide solution and agitating; (4) oxidating the FeII+1 with hydrogen peroxide in the temperature range of 5-50 deg.C; (5) washing the oxidized precipitates with ethanol, filtering and drying; (6) heating the oxidized coprecipitates to 600-800 deg.C under atmosphere, and cooling, to obtain the fine barium ferrite.
