Speech recognition system using neural network and fuzzy logic processing

The speech recognition system receives an input from a microphone (10) that is amplified (20) and received by an analyser (30). The analyser output is transferred via an interface (40) to a personal computer (60) complete with hard and floppy discs (50), keyboard (70) and display screen (80).The speech analyser divides the speech signal into predetermined frequency bands in which energy levels are defined. The personal computer received the defined energy signal levels and compares the signal levels of adjacent bands. A binary data value is then generated for identification. The processing is based upon a neural network and fuzzy logic theory.
