METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING MOBILE EQUIPMENT'S STATUS INFORMATION IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method and a system for providing the status information of a mobile terminal in a mobile communication system are provided to register current state information and available information set by each mobile terminal in a server, thereby recognizing a current state of each mobile terminal and being connected to a proper community service to provide a communication service suitable for a current state of each mobile terminal user to each mobile terminal. A call request to a called terminal(330) from a calling terminal(300) is received in a core network(320). The core network is connected to a state information server which receives and manages state information set by each terminal to check whether the called terminal is out of service. The core network is connected to a supplementary service server to transmit the state information of the called terminal to the calling terminal by using a supplementary service which the called terminal joins.
