Disclosed is a method for producing a quinolone compound having high anti bacterial activity and safety by a simple process with high yield. Specifica lly, a desired quinolone carboxylic acid derivative (1) shown below is produ ced in one pot by reacting a compound (2) shown below, a salt of a cyclic am ine (3) shown below and a boron derivative in a solvent in the presence of a base.
