<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt retractor which ensures retracting performance of a pre-tensioner even if an energy absorption load of a force limiter mechanism is set at a low degree, and instantly retracting the belt by transmitting the force of the pre-tensioner through a torsion bar. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt retractor 10 has: a torsion bar 65 arranged on a force transmission route between a spindle 61 and a pre-tensioner 15; a torque tube 64 arranged at a periphery of the torsion bar 65 and on a force transmission route between the spindle 61 and the pre-tensioner 15; and a switching device 20 for switching the torque tube 64 as the force transmission route so as to be integrally rotated or relatively rotated with the spindle 61. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
