<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a higher-quality real-time monitoring video image although, as regards occupancy of a PCI (peripheral component interconnect) bus, network data transfer has priority over overlay data transfer in the case of a hybrid type HDD recorder to be used for a security system. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus, an image transfer rate management unit 109 monitors the occupancy rate of an interface bus 105 of a network interface 106, determines a frame rate value corresponding to the bus occupancy rate, and continuously transfers an overlay image to a memory 102 via an image transfer interface 108 on the basis of image transfer timing corresponding to the frame rate value. Thus, the image transfer interface 108 can transfer overlay image data at an optimal shared bus occupancy rate corresponding to the bus occupancy rate of the network interface 106, thereby performing flexible and high-frame-rate overlay display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
