PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device for materializing a data retrieval function and reducing costs, and optimizing a cost-performance ratio. SOLUTION: In the semiconductor device 1, memory array circuits 10 and 4010 respectively include a plurality of first memory cells for storing a plurality of pieces of data, and a plurality of second memory cells for respectively storing addresses of the first memory cells. The memory array circuit 4010 compares the addresses of the plurality of first memory cells with those of first memory cells to be written to select the first memory cells based on the comparison result. A sense amplifier 11 writes data in the selected first memory cells. The memory array circuit 10 compares a plurality of pieces of data with retrieved data to select the second memory cells for storing the addresses of the first memory cells for storing the data corresponding to the retrieved data.
