LINEAR MAGNETIC SEPARATOR USING FOUCAULT CURRENTS

In a linear magnetic separator using Foucault currents, the material processed is conveyed in a vibrating trough or belt arranged on the magnetic rotor, in the direction of the axis thereof, forcing the material to flow over the entire length of the magnetic rotor. The electroconducting particles are laterally deflected in that they are repelled by the Foucault currents generated in the material by the alternative magnetic field produced by the rotating rotor.
