PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital video movie recording method and a device in which an opening and closing state of an openable and closable operation display part is predetected, and abnormal recording due to impact attributed to opening and closing of the operation display part during recording image is prevented. SOLUTION: A state directly before closing or a state directly before fully opening of the operation display part 104 is detected by an opening and closing detecting part 112, the detection information is notified to a recording control part 113, the recording control part 113 causes recording of video sound data from a data temporary storing part 108 to a main recording medium 109 such as a DVD to be interrupted for a prescribed period of time from a time point when right before of the closing of the operation display part or right before of the fully opening thereof is detected, thereby a state in which recording of video sound data from the data temporary storing part 108 to the main recording medium 109 is not performed is made when the instant impact during opening and closing of the operation display part 104 is caused and abnormal recording is prevented.
