PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically change the allotment of resources held by a storage system. SOLUTION: When resources including a host IF part 101, a drive IF part 102, a disk drive 103, a data transfer engine part 105, a cache memory 107 and a control processor 109 are defined as resources as the object of partitioning, a processor 301 of a control processor part 109 logically partitions the resources as the object of partitioning, and prepares a plurality of logical partitions, and changes the rate of the partitioning of the resources into the logical partitions according to access quantity from a host computer.
