摘要 An automatic braking system for an electric locomotive is provided to prevent an accident by performing braking according to a braking signal of an onboard signaling system even in non-operation of a brake handle due to driver's mistake. A potentiometer(20) outputs handle braking control voltage(SV) varied according to a rotation angle of a brake handle(10). An onboard braking control voltage output unit(30) outputs onboard braking control voltage(ASV) having DC voltage when an onboard braking demand signal(AB) from an onboard signaling system(70) is activated. The onboard braking control voltage output unit outputs onboard braking control voltage having ground voltage(Vss) when the onboard braking demand signal is inactivated. A selection unit(40) selects higher one of the handle braking control voltage and the onboard braking control voltage as braking voltage(BV). A data converting unit(50) converts the braking voltage into digital data to output braking voltage data(SD). An electronic braking control unit(60) performs electric braking of an electric locomotive by outputting an electric braking power value(EB) according to the braking voltage data and outputs an air braking value(ARB) for performing air braking of the electric locomotive when the braking power of the electric locomotive is insufficient or a speed of the electric locomotive is low during electric braking.
