PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten metal molding apparatus in which, even if an inert gas is continuously fed toward a molten metal port during a molding (casting) operation, the useless consumption of the inert gas can be suppressed as much as possible. SOLUTION: The molten metal molding apparatus is configured in such a manner that a molten metal is fed from the molten metal port provided at an injection sleeve into the injection sleeve shot-by-shot, the molten metal in the injection sleeve is injected-charged inside a mold by an injection plunger, and the inert gas is fed into the injection sleeve through the molten metal port, wherein the period at which the mold is released, the injection plunger is put into a state where it closes the molten metal port.
