<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously distinguish the same person even under a situation wherein a face vertically and horizontally swings in each frame or wherein a size of the face varies. <P>SOLUTION: Face detection is performed to an input image, and subsequently, the face detection of the same person is continuously performed over the whole inputted moving image by tracking processing of the face. By updating the registered face of the person to the present detection face in each prescribed frame period in a state that face identification is locked about the detection face during a lock of tracking, a result of the face identification is stabilized over the plurality of frames associatively to a change of the size or an angle of the detection face occurring according to motion of a photographed person. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
