PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication adapter capable of easily making existing USB equipment into C-WUSB while achieving high performance, and to provide a data transfer method therefor. SOLUTION: This communication adapter 2 has: a DownPort part 30 performing an exchange with a connection device USB-connected to itself; an UpPort part 10 having an end point configuration corresponding one-to-one with an end point configuration of the connection device, and communicating with an external wireless communication device; and a WUSB-USB conversion part 20 converting data from the wireless communication device into data for the connection device.
