<p>The present technology relates generally to peelable films and processes for making peelable films. The present technology also relates to peelable layers in films, and packages or lid stock that incorporate peelable films. In some embodiments, the present technology relates to peelable layers of monolayer or multilayer films that comprise at least one base polymer or copolymer and a nanoclay. In some embodiments, the at least one base polymer or copolymer comprising ethylene homopolymers, ethylene copolymers, propylene homopolymers, propylene copolymers, blends thereof, and mixtures thereof. Further, in some embodiments, the nanoclay is from about 1% to about 25% by weight of the peelable layer of a peelable seal film.</p> |
