<p>The method involves driving a pump cell with a constant pump flow. A Nernst voltage (UN) is acquired and set between a reference electrode (RE) and an inner pump electrode (IPN) of an internal-combustion engine. A lambda value of exhaust gas is determined from the Nernst voltage. A parameter characterizing an injection process of the engine is regulated based on the Nernst voltage such that a predetermined lambda value is set. The engine has a Nernst electrode (NE) and inner pump electrodes (APE, IPN). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program for implementing steps involved in a method for operating a broadband lambda probe (2) a computer program product with program code stored on a machine-readable carrier for implementing steps involved in a method for operating a broadband lambda probe.</p> |
