<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a round rice cake with cuts on the top surface. <P>SOLUTION: Cross-like cuts 2, 2a, and 2b are made on a round rice cake 1, with a center part remaining uncut and the cross-like cuts are made to such a depth that 5 mm-8 mm from the base side of rice cake remains uncut. Therefore, on the rice cake having a center part 3 that is not cut, cutting work can be done by a step. Rice cakes with cuts can be provided by omitting a step of the production process. Furthermore, when the rice cake is baked, the possibility of an internal part of the rice cake and steam being blown off from its base is low.
