摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct surface light source device capable of effectively suppressing luminance unevenness and color unevenness and being structured to be thin as a whole with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The surface light source device 10 includes a plurality of light emitting elements 12 arranged on a substrate 11 at predetermined intervals and a light guide body 13 arranged above the light emitting elements. An upper surface 13a of the light guide body is curved so as to be lowest just above the respective light emitting elements and projected in an upward arch shape in an area between the respective light emitting elements on a cross section of at least one alignment direction of the light emitting elements. A lowest part 13b is positioned just above the respective light emitting elements on the cross section, and a curved part in the arch shape between the light emitting elements are formed so as to reduce an inclination angle as apart from the lowest parts and totally reflect light from the corresponding light emitting elements at any part. An outermost part in a cross sectional direction of the light guide body is formed in a shape approximately vertically cut at a top point of the arch-shaped curved part with respect to the light guide.
