PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method using a cell concept for easily preparing a drawing. SOLUTION: This drawing preparation device is provided with a cell having a symbol showing a switch; an output part (display part) for displaying the cell or the connection relation of a plurality of cells; a storage part for storing operation place information relating to the cell displayed at the display part and the connection information between a plurality of symbols; and a control part for performing the processing of connection between the plurality of symbols. By using this design method using a cell concept for preparing a drawing by combining a plurality of cells, the control part is characterized to connect the first symbol to the second symbol when the connection information of the identification information of the first symbol selected in the first cell and the identification information of the second symbol selected in the second cell, between two different cells, is included in the storage part.
