PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release film superior in the coating performance of a ceramic slurry and the release properties of a ceramic green sheet, and a manufacturing method capable of easily manufacturing the release film. SOLUTION: The release film has a base material and the release agent layer provided at least on one side of the base material. The release agent layer contains a first silicone resin having a crosslinked structure and a second silicone resin having no crosslinked structure and the content of the second silicone resin in the release agent layer is 0.1-20 mass%.
