PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction implement for a floor, which is capable of efficiently sucking dust accumulated beside a wall or the like, and reduced in weight to improve operability. SOLUTION: The suction implement for the floor includes a suction implement body case 2 having a suction port 3 opened from a lower face to at least a part of a front face, a rotary brush 4 rotatably supported in the suction implement body case 2, and a cover 6 closing the front side portion of the suction port 3 of the suction implement body case 2. The cover 6 is formed to be turnable between a lower turning position at which the front side portion of the suction port 3 is opened, and an upper turning position at which the front side portion of the suction port 3 is opened, and constituted to turn from the lower turning position to the upper turning position when the cover 6 abuts on a flat part of a wall surface or the like. The suction implement body case 2 is formed with air holes 16 in positions avoiding the cover 6 and the turning range of the cover 6, to rotate the rotary brush 4 with intake air.
