<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress drop in battery voltage after standing generating when metallic cobalt is added to a nickel positive electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The nickel positive electrode containing an active material mainly comprising nickel hydroxide, metallic cobalt, and an oxidation inhibitor is used. By adding the oxidation inhibitor to the nickel positive electrode, reaction of metallic cobalt with cobalt oxyhydroxide or the like is suppressed, and drop in battery voltage after standing originating in this reaction can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
